Central Passage

Do you feel down, out, defeated?

The devil is trying to wear you down, but you cannot let him wear you out!

Do you know the characteristics of a real church (real child of God)?

Do you know what a real child of God should look like?

Do you know the marks of a New Testament church?

The NT church of Acts is different from the church of today.

Marks of a NT church:

  • Spirit-filled (Acts 2:1-4)
    • filled with believers that are filled with the Spirit of God
    • filled with the Spirit of the Holy Ghost
  • A praying church (Acts 4:31)
    • in prayer before God
    • has something to give besides money
  • Miracle-working (Acts 3:1-8)
  • Separated from this world (II Corinthians 6: 17, 18)
  • Boldness (Acts 4:13, 19, 20
  • Obedient (Acts 8:26,27; 9:15-17; 10:17-23)
    • Obedient to the commands of God
  • Does not remain silent (Acts 5:19, 20, 42)
    • is not silent concerning the gospel of Christ

Many churches today are no different than the world. There should be a difference about a Christian that is recognizable. People should see and recognize the Lord at work in us (Christians).

The NT church never had a program in place to grow and expand the body of Christ (ref John 7:46).

  • Jesus had no gimmick or program to spread the gospel, yet people recognized a difference about Him.

The NT church had the presence of God & the Gospel.

The miracles of the NT church are still for the church of today and are just as relevant today.

Obedience is not works nor is it legalism.

God will speak if we will listen.

You will be hard-pressed to find a NT church today.

Do you want to be a part of the NT church?

Most churches are in an apostate condition! We need a move of the Holy Ghost!

Our foundation is laid upon the principles of biblical holiness. Even before the church experienced the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, it's roots were set in the holiness revival of the past century.  It was and is, a holiness church--holiness in fact and holiness in name. The passing of 18 years has not diminished our holiness position or convictions. The years have, instead, strengthened our knowledge that without holiness it is impossible to please God. We hereby remind ourselves that the Scriptures enjoin us at all times to examine our own hearts. Conditions of our day desperately require it. The basic doctrines of the church have remained constant since the inception of the church."

God's law is supreme, however we are to obey the laws of our country insofar as they are not in conflict with obedience to God (Acts 5:29). When it becomes necessary to disagree with practices and requirements of government, we should do so out of a concern for the promotion of righteousness and not out of delight in discord and controversy.
