Central Passage
Matthew 7:13, 14

There is a way, a road that leads to destruction.

There is a way, a road that leads to life.

We have to choose everyday how we will live--for God, for the devil! (Joshua 24:15)

The road taken, to heaven or to hell--- it is your choice!! (Reference to choices & choosing Acts 27: 30, 31; I Kings 18:21)

You cannot live for God and live to sin. You must choose between right and wrong.

There is much confusion in people now of what right and what is wrong.

Know that evil and sin lead to death, destruction and separation from God. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death."

The term "under grace" is a distorted view of the grace the Bible speaks about.

God does not understand nor is He understanding of one willfully sinning.

Is God right or is man right? GOD! "There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, But its end is death." Proverbs 14:12

Is the Scripture truth or is it lies? TRUTH!

The broad road:

  • there is no restraint on will
  • does not lead to life
  • there are no commandments to keep
  • you don't have to search to find it

The straight road:

  • you have to search to find it (Matthew 6:33; ref vss Matthew 7:7; 28:5, Luke 13:24)
  • offers resolutions
  • requires perserverance

If we know this to be true, why are so many walking this broad road and expecting it to lead to life? -they have been deceived!

You cannot play around with salvation, righteousness and holiness. God's grace is not a license to sin!

The broad road and the straight road do not meet up. They do not go to the same place.

Our foundation is laid upon the principles of biblical holiness. Even before the church experienced the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, it's roots were set in the holiness revival of the past century.  It was and is, a holiness church--holiness in fact and holiness in name. The passing of 18 years has not diminished our holiness position or convictions. The years have, instead, strengthened our knowledge that without holiness it is impossible to please God. We hereby remind ourselves that the Scriptures enjoin us at all times to examine our own hearts. Conditions of our day desperately require it. The basic doctrines of the church have remained constant since the inception of the church."

God's law is supreme, however we are to obey the laws of our country insofar as they are not in conflict with obedience to God (Acts 5:29). When it becomes necessary to disagree with practices and requirements of government, we should do so out of a concern for the promotion of righteousness and not out of delight in discord and controversy.
