Central Passage
Exodus 8:1-14

Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live."

You have a choice in the matter!

Joshua 24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!!

We are in the church age of the Laodiceans. We are a church that is luke warm. The Lord Jesus said He wished we were hot or cold. We need to serve the Lord with all our hearts or serve the devil with all our hearts. No more straddling the fence.

Choose this day whom YOU will serve!

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!!

What is missing in most of the pulpits in America today? Thus saith the Lord! What is that?

  • ‚Äča preacher who has spent time with God
  • to hear the voice of God
  • to get the message from God
  • to stand up for the Word of God and declare it

Do you believe that God's people need some deliverance?

  • Does someone have to beg you to praise?-- you need deliverance
  • Does someone have to beg you to come to the House of God?-- you need deliverance

Jesus is trying to feed you every time you walk in the door. The table has been spread before you, all you have to do is come and dine with the Master.

Egyptians regarded frogs as sacred (in reasonable numbers)  and as a sign of life, renewal, and happiness. The frogs couldn't be killed, because the Egyptians worshipped a frog goddess, Heket, who had the body of and woman and the head of a frog.

God showed the Egyptians that He could go down into their religion and produce what they produce to the point that they couldn't stand it anymore.

Do you know that the Lord is God? He's not Allah, Buddha, Mohammed-- there is no God like Jehovah!

Jehovah is a savior, a deliverer, the great I AM!

It is not God's fault when any kind of sickness or diseases comes upon anybody. It is the result of the fall of Adam in the beginning. Jesus bought back what Adam sold in the beginning.

The power of God is still real today.

Pharoah asked Moses & Aaron to intercede on his behalf with God to get rid of the frogs. Moses asks Pharoah when he should pray for the removal of the frogs-- Pharoah's answer --tomorrow.

Pharoah could have had immediate deliverance but instead chose one more night with the frogs.

What does this have to do with you?

Every time you..

  • come and hear the Word of God and
    • God starts dealing with your heart
    • He spreads the table before you
    • He extends the invitation
    • There is something (sin) in your life that God wants to clean up
  • walk out the door without making it right with God

You are saying to God..

  • I want one more night with the frogs (with your sin).

Many people chose one more day with sin instead of salvation with God.

God is an on-time God. The church cannot be concerned with it's reputation or good name. We have to be willing to get our hands dirty to help someone out.

Pharoah's decision to have one more night with the frogs is a representation of religion.. We want to hold on to what we God when we know if we would turn it loose, God would bless us. We want to hold onto our sin one more night.

John 11:44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."

When the Lord does what only He can do (life speaks to death and death responds and death has to turn loose), there is something left for the church to do-- loose it and let it go. Unwrap traditions of men, unwrap habits and addictions. Work with them until they are loose and let them go.

Many church people have grown comfortable with the frogs. We are happy with the frogs when God wants to deliver us. We are happy with the frogs, happy with sin, so close to sin.

We need enough Word of God coming up to make people uncomfortable with their:

  • habits
  • addictions
  • language
  • they way they dress

We need enough of the Word of God to strike a fire inside of someone to bring them back to old-time Holy Ghost revival.

  • we honor education above the Lord
  • we cater to our children above God

We try giving our children everything we didn't have. But in the process of trying to give them what we didn't have, we haven't given what we did have that was good.

We give them so much that they go into the world not appreciating anything.

When you work to get something, it has value, it means something to you.

We don't weep and cry around the altar anymore so there is no value attached to the blessings of God. We don't push away things, we don't turn the TV off, we don't get on our knees anymore.

There is no value attached to the things of God anymore.

There are still some people in the house that believe in a God that can provide and know that God is able. If we would only give God our best, there is no telling what God could do for us.

Are you tired of the frogs? Do you seek deliverance from the frogs? If you believe in God, you will be delivered.

There is good news: There is one who can kill the frogs today. He can make them leave your life today. You can walk away free.

When is the last time you really felt free?

The anointing of God is more than a goosebump.

There is something about the power of God in operation, there is something about the anointing when you see God liberate someone.

If the church would get together and do what it ought to be doing, the devil's land would stink (Exodus 8:13, 14). We need to cry out for deliverance not tomorrow, but TODAY!

Are you ready to be free?

"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36

Our foundation is laid upon the principles of biblical holiness. Even before the church experienced the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, it's roots were set in the holiness revival of the past century.  It was and is, a holiness church--holiness in fact and holiness in name. The passing of 18 years has not diminished our holiness position or convictions. The years have, instead, strengthened our knowledge that without holiness it is impossible to please God. We hereby remind ourselves that the Scriptures enjoin us at all times to examine our own hearts. Conditions of our day desperately require it. The basic doctrines of the church have remained constant since the inception of the church."

God's law is supreme, however we are to obey the laws of our country insofar as they are not in conflict with obedience to God (Acts 5:29). When it becomes necessary to disagree with practices and requirements of government, we should do so out of a concern for the promotion of righteousness and not out of delight in discord and controversy.
