Trust in the Wisdom of the Lord

Do you feel like:

  • these are your worst times ever
  • you are facing the toughest battles in your life
  • you are alone in the belly of whale in the bottom of the ocean (Jonah 2:1)

Even with all of your problems, God still loves you and He wants to get you out of the mess and put you back on top of the problem instead of the problem being on top of you. We have a God that cannot fail. The Great God Jehovah! He is a God that will not fail us.

God is good!! (Nahum 1:7). If you trust in God, He knows who you are. You don't have to worry, He knows you. He will help you out, if you trust in Him. He loves you that much! If He loved you enough to give His only Son, the bible says He will not withhold any good thing from you (Psalm 84:11, Romans 8:32).

God is still on the throne and He has not diminished in power nor love or strength. He is still God. He is your God, He is my God! He is our shepherd (Psalm 23:1).

So many people are discouraged. With their ongoing problems, many ask, "Why should I go on?" There are many good reasons to go on, but if you give up now, you will not make it. We have to keep on keeping on for God. We have to keep pressing through. People are giving up on God and getting discouraged, giving on on prayer.

There is more to prayer than just telling God you want something and then sitting down and waiting for Him to pour out His blessings. God is not our servant, we are His servants. He is not there for us to tell Him what to do. If we give our problems to God and leave them with Him, He will bring about what needs to be done.

Do you know that God is wise? Do you know how wise He is? We cannot fathom the wisdom of God (Romans 11:33; 1 Corinthians 1:25) God is wise and we can trust Him, because He does not change (Heb 13:8).

God is aware of everything. We cannot hide anything from Him. He knows our thoughts (Psalm 139:2). You can trust that God knows what is going on and you can trust in Him.

The devil has convinced many people that God has forgotten about them, that God doesn't know what they are going through, or what they are struggling with. That is one of the biggest lies from the devil. The Bible says, "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15).

Are you down and out? There is a way our of your situation, if you look to God and trust in Him.

Who could devise such a plan to save mankind from sin by giving His only Son to die on the cross to pay sin's debt? NO ONE other than GOD! (1 Peter 1:20) God knows the end from the beginning. We can trust Him to know that He brought us to where we are for a purpose and a reason and He desires to fix our problems.

God has not called the wise, the mighty or the noble. He has chosen the foolish things to put the wise to shame (1 Cor 1:26-29). If God was wise enough to choose you, He is wise enough to keep you and wise enough to protect you, if you trust Him. You have to trust God!

God's designed plan is that when this life is over, we are going to leave this place and be with Him. That is the plan that God has put together and it will not fail. God is wise enough to make it happen, if we trust in Him.

There will be ups and downs, because we have a tendancy to trust in our own thoughts and ways. We think we know what is best, but the Bible says, "There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death" (Proverb 14:12 Amplified). The Bible also says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5, 6).

You cannot save yourself from the mess you are in! The hand of God, a wise God, is the only thing that can save you, save us. We need to depend on God to help us.

You may ask yourself, "How do I depend on God?" Your answer can be found in Proverbs 3:5, 6.

Don't know which way you are going? Is the path you are on not a good one, is it bad? The only answer is to: Trust in the Lord. You cannot lean upon on depend upon yourself, others, or the easiet way for deliverance. It will only make the situation more detrimental for you (ref Isaiah 36:6, 2 Kings 18:21).

"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:6). Do you acknowledge God in everything you do? Do you ask God for guidance in all things? According to the word of God, you should! God's wisdom is above our wisdom. His way is best (1 Corinthians 1:25). You can make it if you trust in the God with the wisdom to get you through.

God says in Isaiah 40:1, "Comfort, yes, comfort My people!" How do you comfort the people of God? Encourage them in a God that cannot fail. Paul, Jude, and other OT prophets describe a wise and true God whose name is Wonderful, Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, Prince of Peace, the Rose of Sharon, the Bright and Morning Star, the Lily of the Valley, the fairest of 10,000; He is our fortress, hightower, our strength. God sees us just as He saw His people in Egypt (ref Ex 3:7, 8).

God wants you to know that He sees your sorrow and afflictions and that He has come to deliver you. If you trust in God, you won't have to walk away from Him with the same problems you came to Him with.

We are always in God's thoughts and on His mind. God has us in His sight and He will not let us be destroyed. How is this possible?? Paul said in Romans 11:34, "For who has known the mind of the Lord?" (ref Isaiah 55:8, 9). "The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satified" (Psalm 37:18, 19).

We desire a life without cares, troubles, and challenges. 1kWe prefer blessings without end. We desire a river, not a brook or stream, because brooks and streams dry up. God wants us to learn not to trust in our blessings, but in Him, the giver of blessings. They brook may dry up, but something else will come along (ref 1 Kings 17:2-9). We cannot rest on our own ideas and blessings. We must trust in God and there will be rest for our souls.

Not trusting in God leads to stress, anxiety and depression. God didn't bring you this far to leave you. (Reference the complaints in the wilderness Exodus 11:20; 14:10; 15:23, 24; 16:2; 17:1-3; Numbers 11:4-6; 14:2-4). God is the answer to your problems. Acknowledge God in all your ways from this day forth. Be encouraged that God will fix things for you.

Jeremiah 29 11-14 says, "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord."

God is not out to get us, His thoughts toward us are for good. God is looking for all of your heart, not a portion. If you want God to work in your life, give Him all of your heart. Don't serve Him half-heartedly or you will lose. Why should we not put our confidence in God? There isn't any reason for us not to put our confidence in God.

Is anything to hard for God to fix (ref Jeremiah 32:27)? NO. Has His word of promise ever failed you? NO.

We must never entertain an unbelieving, suspicious spirit that will come upon us regarding God's present and future care for us. Never let the devil put in your mind or in your heart that God doesn't care about where you are and who you are. God cares more than you will ever know.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but His word of promise will abide forever (ref Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33, Isaiah 40:8, 1 Peter 1:25). His Word will stand.

He didn't bring you this far to kill you in the desert. He didn't bring you this far to let the world overtake you and destroy you, if you will trust Him.

   "Freedom Worship Center"

Our foundation is laid upon the principles of biblical holiness. Even before the church experienced the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, it's roots were set in the holiness revival of the past century.  It was and is, a holiness church--holiness in fact and holiness in name. The passing of 18 years has not diminished our holiness position or convictions. The years have, instead, strengthened our knowledge that without holiness it is impossible to please God. We hereby remind ourselves that the Scriptures enjoin us at all times to examine our own hearts. Conditions of our day desperately require it. The basic doctrines of the church have remained constant since the inception of the church."

  --ONE NATION UNDER GOD--

God's law is supreme, however we are to obey the laws of our country insofar as they are not in conflict with obedience to God (Acts 5:29). When it becomes necessary to disagree with practices and requirements of government, we should do so out of a concern for the promotion of righteousness and not out of delight in discord and controversy.
